Wrinkles are a natural consequence of aging and they are inevitable to some extent. But that does not mean you have to bear them forever and let the world know that you’re growing old. Wrinkles are natural, and they can be fought naturally. Here are a few steps to fight wrinkles and keep your skin as young as ever.
This may sound terrible at first, but it is extremely necessary to hydrate your skin to keep it young. You may wash your face with water every day, but oil has additive benefits. It helps to keep your skin cells strong and moisturized and prevents wrinkles and sagging of skin. Virgin coconut oil has been found to be extremely effective for this purpose.
Sun damage is another major cause of early age wrinkles. Always wear sunscreen (at least SPF 30) before leaving the house during the day. Also, wear large brim hats and goggles to protect the sides of your eyes, as that is usually the first place where wrinkles start to form.
This cannot be exaggerated enough to make the point that proper sleep of at least 7 to 8 hours every night is absolutely necessary for proper healthy living. Lack of sleep secretes certain hormones in your body that causes cell damage of your skin which leads to wrinkles. Adequate sleep is a must if you want to prevent this.
Many people are aware of the fact that junk food and too much of calories is bad for heart, but they may oblivious to the fact that it is equally also bad for the skin. So, try to include fresh fruits and vegetables as a major part of your diet. They contain vitamin A and D which nourishes the skin and keeps it younger. Protein and fatty acids found in fishes like salmon is also great for your skin.
Apart from causing damage to your lungs, the smoke from cigarettes is extremely harmful for your skin. It damages the skin cells and causes early age wrinkles. Not only is this effect limited to the smoker, but also to the people around. So, stay away from people who smoke if you aren’t a smoker yourself.
